Description
Français : Principales grandes vagues de chaleur marine récentes (documentées et analysées dans la littérature). La carte présente les anomalies les plus importantes de la température de la surface de l'eau en mer d(ans les régions où la température dépasse le 99ème percentile en utilisant le jeu de données quotidien de la température de la surface de la mer sur l'interpolation optimale de la NOAA. Les chiffres rouges indiquent l'année de l'événement "vague de chaleur marine". Le 99e centile est calculé sur la période de référence 1982-2016. Cette image a été faite à partir d'une carte publiée sous licence CC-BY-SA 4.0 par la revue Nature le 13 février 2018 (dans 'Nature Comments') La carte a été créée à l'aide du langage de commande NCAR (https://www.ncl.ucar.edu)
English: Prominent recent major marine heat waves that are documented and analyzed in the literature. The figure shows the maximum sea surface temperature anomaly in regions where temperature exceeds the 99th percentile using NOAA’s daily Optimum Interpolation sea surface temperature dataset. This picture is made from a map published under CC-BY-SA 4.0 open licence in 'Nature Comments' le 13 février 2018. The red numbers indicate the year of the MHW occurrence.
