Summary

[edit]
Description Full-depth, precast bridge deck panels made with self-consolidating, high-performance concrete (SCC) (HPC) ensured quality and increased construction speed. The panels were cast offsite in a controlled environment and steam cured as part of an FHWA, Highways for LIFE supported Iowa DOT bridge reconstruction project. The self-consolidating concrete improved consolidation around the complicated arrangement of reinforcing and post-tension ducts.
