Description
Deutsch: Militärischer Wasserhochbehälter "Schwabenheimer Wäldchen", Bestandteil der Selzstellung, errichtet 1912/13. 155 m³ Fassungsvermögen in 2 Wasserkammern. Das Bauwerk wurde im Gegensatz zum überwiegenden Rest der Selzstellung nicht gesprengt sondern bis mehrere Jahre nach dem 1. Weltkrieg zivil weitergenutzt. Die 2 m starke Decke wurde nach dem Krieg in Teilen durch Abstemmen entfestigt. Nachdem dem der Wasserbehälter lange Zeit frei zugänglich war und immer wieder Opfer von Vandalismus wurde, fanden ab 2009 umfangreichere Sanierungsarbeiten statt. Das Bauwerk befindet sich auf dem Gebiet der Stadt Ingelheim am Rhein, Gemarkung Großwinternheim, Flur 13, Flurstück 15/2. Ansicht von Südosten.
