| Description |
English: A transverse thin section of the Sequoioxylon montanense holotype wood. "Fig. 21. - Transverse section. In this figure we see the traumatic resin canals. The spring wood is far more collapsed than in Fig. 19; but since the resin canals are in the summer zone they are not profoundly disturbed. A little to the right of center a horizontal canal is seen crossing the vertical row. There can be no doubt as to the traumatic nature of these canals. They are filled with yellow vesicles of resin and when cut longitudinally manifest the moniliform appearance common to such traumatic structures."
