שם אגם גארדה Benacus creino כתובית מבט אל חלקו הצפוני של אגם גארדה שטח 369.98 אורך מרבי 51.9 רוחב מרבי 16.7 עומק ממוצע 136 עומק מרבי 346 נפח 50.35 גובה 65 נהר מזין נהר סרקה מקור לנהר נהר מינצ'ו אגן ניקוז 2,350 איים 5 תחלופת המים 26.8 אגם גארדה (איטלקית: Lago di Garda) הוא האגם הגדול באיטליה והוא משמש כיעד תיירותי. אגם גארדה נמצא בצפון איטליה, בערך באמצע הדרך בין מילאנו לונציה ובין הרי האלפים לעמק הפו. אזור אלפיני זה, נוצר כתוצאה מתנועת קרחונים, בסופו של עידן הקרח האחרון. האגם וקו החוף שלו מחולקים בין הפרובינציות ורונה (בדרום מזרח), ברשה (דרום מערב) וטרנטו (נפה) (צפון). צידו הצפוני של האגם הוא הררי.

בדרום האגם מצויה העיירה העתיקה סירמיונה המהווה יעד תיירותי פופולרי. בעיירה נמצאת מצודת סקאליג'רו מהמאה ה-13. בעיירה הייתה וילה של המשורר הרומאי גאיוס ולריוס קאטולוס, ותיירים מבקרים בשרידי ספא רומית הנקראת Grotte di Catullo אף על פי שאין ראייה המקשרת את קאטולוס לבניין זה. בעיירה נמצאים מעיינות חמים של גופרית. בצפון האגם מצאת עיירת הנופש ריבה דל גארדה האתר היחידי באזור שיש לו איזכור יהודי ועל שפת האגם טיילת יפה העוברת לאורך החלק הדרומי של העיירה. סמוך לאגם נמצא גם פארק השעשועים גארדלנד, אחד הפארקים המפורסמים באיטליה.

האגם נגיש מצפון דרך מעבר ברנר, מדרום חולפת מסילת הרכבת ונציה-מילאנו ולה תחנת רכבת בדסנצאנו דל גארדה. לגדות האגם חולפות שתי אוטוסטרדות (22 ו-4). על האגם קיים שירות מעבורות המקשר בין נקודות מרכזיות בו ואף שרות רחפות.
