Italiano: Questo set di diaframmi è costituito da cinque piccole lamine metalliche di forma all'incirca rettangolare con una parte sporgente per consentirne l'impugnatura. Al centro le lamine presentano dei fori di diversi diametri (da 0,3 a 1,4 cm circa) Le lamine sono tenute insieme da una vite collocata nelle impugnature.
Variazione della quantità di luce incidente sull'emulsione fotografica.
Il diaframma va inserito nella fessura trasversale posta sul cilindro dell'obiettivo A fori più piccoli corrisponde una minor quantità di luce incidente ed un più esteso campo di messa a fuoco, viceversa per fori più grandi.
