Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stained glass chapel panels, originally designed by William Burges (2 December 1827 – 20 April 1881), made for the chapel of the third Marquess of Bute’s late 19th-century ‘fairytale’ style castle at Castell Coch, near Cardiff. Each measuring 72 x 37cm, the three panels depict the Seven Archangels: St Gabriel (holding the lily), St Jophiel (holding a flaming sword), St Uriel (holding the sun), St Michael (holding sword and balance scale), St Chamuel (holding chalice and staff), St Zadkiel (holding a dagger), and St Raphael (holding a staff with flask).
