English: lu (鯥),[1] or liu-fish;[2] an ox-like fish with wings, having feathers in the armpit (魼[=胠]/rib), and a serpent-like tail. It bellowed like a yak (yu 畱 /"lingering-cow";[2] i.e. 瘤牛 "humped cow"). It is regarded as living on the slopes or hills (陵), in the plentiful waters of Mt. Dǐ (柢山, "Root Mountain").[1][2] |
