Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Shanxi Museum, formerly named "Shanxi Provincial Museum," was moved to a new facility and reopened in 2005. The museum's holdings include many grave figurines and regional Buddhist sculptures from the Northern Dynasties Period. This photo shows one room of the sculptures display, where Buddhist statues are presented in a dramatic setting that evokes the region's ancient cave-chapels.
