English: Among the highlights of Shariff Kabunsuan Festival 2016 Celebration is the Guinakit Fluvial Parade jointly conducted on December 19, 2016 at Cotabato City Wharf, by the Department of Tourism-ARMM, Department of Tourism- RO XII, and City Government. Guinakit Fluvial Parade is a display of colorfully decorated tandem-bancas or ‘guinakit’ commemorating the arrival of Arab Missionary Shariff Kabunsuan who introduced Islam in Mindanao in the 16th Century.
Shariff Kabunsuan Festival is a celebration of Islam and display of Muslim religion and culture. |
