Summary[edit]

Description A costumed craftsman sharpens a blade on a foot-powered whetstone at Old Fort Steuben, in Steubenville, Ohio, United States, at the Old Fort Steuben Festival in June 2005. The First American Regiment from Springfield, Ohio is encamped at the fort and presents live reenactments. Settlers and Indians erect their tents and lodgings and demonstrate the challenges and fun of early American life. Candle makers, quilters, blacksmiths, weavers, spinners and other craftsmen are ready to demonstrate their skills; and be sure to watch for the animals who are there, too.
