Description

Seattle Public Library had this dated 1908, but they dated another print of the same photo as 1900. If anything, 1900 might be a little late, and 1908 is out of the question. In the photo, Pier A says "Oregon Improvement Co." I (Joe Mabel) am not sure of the exact date that would have changed to "Pacific Coast Co." (or, apparently briefly, "Pacific Coast St. Co"), but it's around 1900.
