Shown is the debris on the side of the runway at Roberts International Airport, located outside of Monrovia, Liberia. The debris is from the original portion of the runway that torn out by government officials, because it was feared the runway was mined with land mines. The debris could be a hazard for large aircraft like C-5's or C-141B landing at the airport because of their large wing spans. The runway is two miles long and is being used by United States Air Force C-130E Hercules aircraft from the 86th Air Wing out of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, for Operation ASSURED LIFT.
