Description
English: Sow it's back now to Howrah station, Calcutta. Howrah Station is nowadays one of the four intercity train stations serving Howrah and Calcutta, the others being Sealdah, Shalimar Station and Kolkata railway stations (the last two being recent entrants.) Howrah station is situated on the West bank of the Hooghly River, linked to Kolkata by the magnificent Howrah Bridge (visible to the extreme right). It is the oldest station and the largest railway complex in India. Before the tram lines were taken off the Howrah Bridge, one could go right upto Howrah station by tram. (May 2009)
