Description
English: A memorial commemorating the WW11 Siege of Malta.

Located at the Grand Haber in Valetta. Built in 1993 to honour the 7.000 who perished during the famed Siege of Malta of 1940-1943. A limestone tower sits on top of a small stairway consisting of a round roof upheld by squared pillars. A 10 ton bronze bell at the tower’s top rings out daily at noon.

The memorial is so poignant and reminds us of the price that has to be paid sometimes for freedom and peace.
