Description
Deutsch: Die Pflanze wuchs am westlichen Rand des Ortes, nahe der Kriegsgräberstätte und am Spielplatz.

Die Bestimmung wurde von einer pflanzenkundigen Führerin des Nationalparkhauses bestätigt.

Die Pflanze wächst an verschiedenen Stellen der Heidelandschaft auf Wangerooge und bildet dort lockere Rasen.

Eine Unsicherheit bezüglich der Bestimmung liefert der Vergleich mit anderen Aufnahmen auf Wikipedia: dort erscheinen das Silbergras oft oder meist grünlich. Die Pflanzen auf Wangerooge waren durchweg hell-rötlich und hatten kein erkennbares Grün. Ob das mit einer zuvorigen Trockenzeit zu tun hat ist unklar. Die Beobachtung wurde über zwei Jahre hinweg (2022, 2023) gemacht.
