Description
English: Thamel, a tourist destination of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is known as the temple of Lord Sinhasarthavahu located at Sinhakalpanagar, Thabahil or Bhagwan Bahal. This temple of Lord Simhasarthavahu is on the left side of the road on the left side of the road from Tridevi Marg of Thamel to Askal Campus. To enter this temple, one has to enter through a small iron door. The Department of Archeology and Culture of Nepal has also placed a blue signboard in the temple calling it an ancient monument. Inside the temple is a very attractive statue of Buddha. This temple is an excellent example of various arts. The inscriptions in the temple premises have also proved that this temple is ancient. The main entrance of the temple is made of brass in a very artistic style. In front of the temple there are various stupas of Buddha, Bajra etc. and in the premises there are idols of various deities as well as Pati and Pauva.
