Summary
[edit]DescriptionSinging Bird Box by Griesbaum.jpg |
English: A silver and enamel singing bird box. The German singing bird box was produced by Griesbaum and is one of his best models and the most expensive to produce. It has the typical silver bird activation slide to the front. On pressing the silver bird lever to the right the lid lifts and the feathered bird pops up through the pierced grill and begins singing. The bird turns to the right and left, singing all the time, opening and closing his beak and flapping both wings. When he has comleted his song he pops down into the box through the grill and the lid closes. German circa 1925-30. 4.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep by 1.5 inches high ( 10 cm by 6.25 cm by 3.75 cm). |
