Source This work published in Serbia is in the public domain because the copyright has expired according to the Yugoslav Copyright Law of 1978, which provided that copyright lasts for the lifetime of the author and 50 years after his (or her) death, and that copyright for photographic works, works produced by a similar process and works of applied art last 25 years from the publication of the work. This applies to works that were already or had passed into the public domain by December 29, 2004, as the new copyright law came into force on that date. A work by an unknown author that was published before January 1, 1954.
