Description
Deutsch: "Eine der schönsten und nützlichsten Bewegungsarten ist der Schlittschuhschritt. [...] Man wendet den Schlittschuhschritt auf sanften Hängen an, entweder um den Lauf zu beschleunigen oder aus Freude an der Ausführung dieser schönen, gleitenden Bewegung. [...] Auf sehr glattem Schnee kann man sogar den Schlittschuhschritt auch auf der Ebene anwenden. Das ist aber sehr anstrengend und bringt auf Dauer keine Vorteile."
Français : "L'un des mouvements les plus beaux et le plus utiles est le pas des patineurs. [...] On utilise le pas des patineurs sur les pentes douces, soit pour accélérer la marche, soit encore par plaisir à exécuter ce beau mouvement glissant. [...] Sur une neige très glissante, on peut même employer le pas des patineurs sur le plat. Mais c'est très fatigant et ne présente à la longue aucun avantage."
