Description

The Skorovas Chapel, located at the eastern edge of the small Skorovas community, was a gift from the mining company Elkem. Built in 1965, this wooden church has a capacity of 170 persons.

This chapel was the cause of some controversy because it was built on land belonging to the Røyrvik municipality, while the rest of Skorovas was in Namsskogan. Because of that, the border between Røyrvik and Namsskogan was actually moved a little eastward so that the chapel is now properly located in the same municipality as Skorovas!
