Summary[edit]

Description
English: The slender-billed babbler, belonging to the Leiothrichidae family, inhabits regions such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Northeast India, and potentially Myanmar. It thrives in subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grasslands, facing the imminent threat of habitat loss. Identified by its distinctive chestnut-brown plumage, slightly curved bill, and pale throat, this elusive bird prefers the cover of well-vegetated surroundings, particularly wet grassy or reedy areas. During the non-breeding season, it congregates in flocks, adding to the challenge of spotting this shy species. The slender-billed babbler's song is a melodic mix of varied whistles and occasionally includes burry notes.
