Summary[edit]

Description
English: "Svend Foyn's medals and awards" and a ship model of "Spes & Fides", the world's first whale catcher steamship built for Svend Foyn in 1863. From the exhibition on Svend Foyn (1809–1894), a Norwegian whaling pioneer introducing the modern harpoon cannon in 1870, at the Slottsfjellsmuseet, a local history museum in Tønsberg in Vestfold og Telemark County, Norway. Photo taken on January 21st, 2020.
