| Description |
English: This image was taken during a weekend of snow sampling in the Tushar Mountains. We were aiming to quantify snow sublimation and melting rates in a recent burn area. These "snow cinnamon rolls" occur when snow has the perfect consistency of malleability. Seeing them in smaller sizes up to 6 inches is not uncommon, but seeing one with a 4 foot diameter is quite the anomaly. |
