| Description | Bruarfoss is Icelandic for Bridge Falls due to the bridge over the river - the one that this foto was taken from. Just northwest of Reykjavik, this waterfall is within a stone's throw of the "Golden Circle" frequented by tourists, but it's hidden enough that it's not commonly visited. The shortest path there begins up a dirt road and requires about a 2k hike, including diving under a barbed wire fence. The officially closest parking lot requires about twice as far a hike. This shot was taken after waiting until the sun fell just below the mountains. |
