Français : Zone humide (autrefois "ouverte" en cours de colonisation ("fermeture" par les saules (saulaie inondée toute ou partie de l'année). Un des problèmes du boisement sur plateau est que les arbres évapotranspirent le peu d'eau disponible en été lors des épisodes de canicules ou légères sécheresse. Au risque de favoriser les incendies.
Lieu : actuelle Réserve naturelle des Landes d'Helfaut, non loin d'une parcelle aménagée pour la pêche et la pratique du football. Ces saulaies constituent des milieux nouveaux (favorables aux moustiques autrefois absents de cette zone) et en rapide évolution, typiques de deux des 4 anciennes « réserves naturelles volontaires » , devenues « réserves naturelles régionales » (ces sites ont été classés en réserve en guise de mesure compensatoires à la fragmentation supplémentaire du plateau d'Helfaut pas la VNVA (Voie nouvelle de la vallée de l'Aa) plus souvent nommée « Contournement d'Heuringhem ». Ils sont intéressants pour quelques espèces d'invertébrés, la salamandre et une ou deux espèces de triton, mais sont moins riches en biodiversité que les milieux antérieurs, qui étaient pourtant issus de trous de bombes et exploitations de carrières.English: Location: Western Part of the “Plateau d’Helfaut”, in the current Nature Reserve Landes of Helfaut (one of the old "voluntary" nature reserves, "since become regional nature reserves") in the Region Nord/Pas-de-Calais and one of four of these reserves established in compensatory measuring against the ecological fragmentation effect of the new big road cutting the plateau Helfaut (Natura 2000, Arrêté prefectoral de Biotope). |
