- description shoulder: floral volute ornament between 2 sphinxes between 2 griffins between 2 goats (orientated outside) - body: 5 friezes of grazing goats - production place: Milet (?) - the oinochoe clearly originates from the same workshop as the Lévy oinochoe in the Louvre, concluding from the almost identical decorative system (compare e. g. the painting around the rim). The figure drawing (e. g. of the griffins) and the details of the filling ornaments, though, differ from the Louvre piece considerably. The Louvre oinochoe shows more careful drawing in the ornamental details, e. g. at the intervowen ornament on the neck.
