| Description |
Cypress Gardens were at Winter Haven, Florida and for years it was a big attraction. It was a mixture of botanical gardens, Southern belles in hoop skirts, and water ski shows. However competition for visitors from the big Disney parks and other big-scale attractions eventually caused it to close in 2003. The site is now part of Legoland. I saw it in 1984 and for a photographer it was full of scenic attractions. As far as I am concerned it's a shame it's at least partly gone. Nikkornat FTn/50mm f2.0 ai lens/Kodachrome |
