Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lustre-painted ceramics from Spain 14-15th century. The production of this type of ceramics flourished during the 14-15th century, especially in Malaga. They were popular in both Christian and Muslim markets. They often bear heraldic emblems (5). In the late 15th century their production spread across Spain, they were exported to Italy where they were called majolica. Benaki Museum of Islamic Art.
