| Description |
English: A cubic spline comprised of three polynomial segments is defined over a knot sequence with a single multiplicity knot at parametric value 1/3 and a double multiplicity knot at parametric value 2/3. Moving an interior control point (in this case, the third one) generally gives rise to C1 smoothness. Compare with Image:Spline Multiplicity one effect.svg, which is continuous through the second derivative. This curve exhibits a jump in the second derivative value at the join between the second and third polynomial segment. See also Image:Spline Multiplicity three effect.svg |
