[edit]DescriptionSt. Mary Magdalene Chapel in stormy sky background, Dingli Cliffs, Malta.jpg |
English: The chapel of St Mary Magdalene is found at the edge of the Dingli cliffs in one of the most picturesque areas of the Maltese Islands. The chapel as it stands today was rebuilt in 1646. A translation from the Latin of the inscription above the door of the chapel states: The Most Illustrious and Most Reverend Don Fra Michelangelo Balaguer, Bishop of Malta, at this time has reopened and blessed this small chapel that had crumbled and which has been rebuilt completely through the people’s donations. The 15th day of April in the year of the Lord 1646″. |
