Description
English: St Bertram's Well is located in Ilam Park (which is owned by the National Trust and is free to enter), just outside the churchyard of Holy Cross Church. St Bertram is said to have died here in the 8th century; his tomb is located within the nearby church. The well is very close to Ilam Hall, which is owned by the YHA, and is a stone's throw away from St Bertram's Bridge.
