Description
Deutsch: Stainz, Türme des Stiftes, im Vordergrund Bereich des Cafe Venezianer. Der Name stammt von dem Sägewerk, das sich früher dort befand, ein Weg dorthin wird noch Sägeweg genannt. Venezianersägen sind aus Holz gebaute Brettersägen mit einem einzelnen senkrecht schneidenden Sägeblatt aus Eisen. Die Konstruktion wird auf Leonardo da Vinci und das 16. Jahrhundert zurückgeführt. Davor wurden zum Schneiden von Brettern einfache (Zug-)Sägen für zwei Personen verwendet, wenn nicht überhaupt gehackt wurde.
