| Description |
English: Stamford Brook tube station looking west from the eastbound District line platform. Note no equivalent platform for the eastbound Piccadilly line. Westbound District line trains use the south side of the island platform on the left, with the northern face disused (Piccadilly trains running fast). The arrangement dates from when the Piccadilly line was routed along the District line in the 1930s, the older island platform formerly used by the District in both directions, and the single eastbound platform built as new along the former LSWR tracks that were previously not served by Stamford Brook station. Turnham Green station can be glimpsed ahead in the distance. |
