Description
Српски / srpski: Београдски сајам је изграђен на основу одлуке Београдске општине 1936. године. Друштву за приређивање сајма и изложби је уступљен терен крај новоизграђеног Моста краља Александра. Прва фаза радова је започета у пролеће 1937. године, а завршена је до отварања, септембра 1937. Друга фаза, у којој су изграђени Турски и велики Немачки павиљон, завршена је 1938. Планирана је изградња и шестог југословенског павиљона, али су радови обустављени због избијања Другог светског рата. За време Другог светског рата га је Гестапо користио као концентрациони логор у ком је страдало око 48.000 људи.
