Description
Français : Statue de L. Pasteur à Arbois, Jura (1901).

Bien que natif de Dole, le futur biologiste passe une grande part de sa jeunesse dans la petite localité jurassienne, comptant aujourd'hui 3 500 hab. La famille, suivant le père tanneur, arrive vers 1830.

Louis, fidèle aux lieux, séjournera régulièrement à Arbois jusqu'à ses derniers jours, lors de congés, et y installe plusieurs laboratoires.
