Description
Français : Statue du roi Léopold Ier de Belgique à la Chambre des Représentants, Palais de la Nation (Bruxelles). — Parmi les œuvres d’art détruites ou endommagées lors de l’incendie de la Chambre des Représentants en 1883, se trouvait la statue de Léopold Ier, réalisée par Guillaume Geefs (1805-1883), et qui figurait dans la niche du centre au-dessus de la tribune présidentielle. Charles-Auguste Fraikin (1817-1893), à la demande de Henri Beyaert, la refit complètement en 1886.
