Description
English: Female statue. Marble. Found in Athens. Roman copy (2nd century A.D.) of the cult statue of Nemesis at Rhamnous. The goddess was shown holding an apple branch and a phiale. The original was carved by Agoracritos, a pupil of Pheidias, ca. 430 B.C. Accession Number: 3949. National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Text: Museum inscription.
