Français : Cette statuette représente l’initiation à l’érotisme chez les jeunes lau telle qu’elle se pratiquait traditionnellement. Dans la lagune, les jeunes se plaçaient dos à dos, épaule à épaule à angle droit, et procédaient à des séances de caresses. La jeune femme tenait le rôle de "maître du jeu" en choisissant de répondre ou non aux intérêts du jeune homme, soit en repoussant la main de celui-ci ou en la guidant vers les parties de son corps qu’elle désirait qu’il caresse.
