| Description |
English: Stephen Tuketau Palu was an Infantryman in the 101st ABN. During the one combat tour he served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 10-11. He was combat wounded three times and MEDEVAC twice. He is a three time purple heart recipient when after being shot twice in his arm and leg returned to battle. Seventeen days later he returned to his forward operating base where he served eight more months in Kunars fierce battle front. He was then later hit by a improvised explosive device (IED) and was then taken out of country and returned home. He is one of the very few who hold more then two purple hearts in his unit 1st BCT 2nd Battalion "NO SLACK". |
