No. 1 shed road viewed in detail. To the left the huge bulk of the shed breakdown crane. The electricity services can be seen on the wall. The nearest door is the fireman's lobby and the next the locker room. The door on the other side of the electricity services panels is that to the boiler washers lobby. Following this wall along to the rear of the shed would bring you to the passage leading into the shed from the shedmaster's office, and to the rear of this the locomotive superintendent's office. The general offices came next followed by the ambulance room. By this entrance to the shed were the bicycle racks. Along the rear wall of the running shed were repair and work-shops and the main store-room and stores. Also along this wall were the lavatories and washroom with its large round multiple sink unit.
