各国において外国人労働力人口が総労働力人口に占める比率。基本的に2000年における数値を採用。

ヨーロッパ諸国およびアメリカはOECD "Trends in International Migration"、日本は総務庁統計局および法務省入国管理局資料、その他アジア諸国はアジア開発銀行および各国の統計・推計値をもとにしている。いずれも「データブック国際労働比較」（労働政策研究・研修機構）を参考にした。

ルクセンブルクを除くヨーロッパ諸国については越境・季節労働者は基本的に含まれない。

アメリカについては「外国生まれの労働者数」を採用。

日本は不法残留者を含み、永住者を除く推計値。

マレーシアにおける外国人労働者数は登録された者に限る。
