Hier stand ab 1865 das jüdische Kinderheim der Flersheim-Sichel-Stiftung
1939 wurden die meisten Bewohner durch einen Kindertransport nach England gerettet
etwa 80 Kinder und Heimpersonal wurden ab 1941
in nationalsozialistische Konzentrations- und Vernichtungslager deportiert und ermordet.
