Description
Deutsch: Ludwig Bode wurde am 9. Dezember 1879 in Kirchderne bei Dortmund geboren und lebte später in Werne an der Lippe. Er war Vorsitzender der SPD-Ortsgruppe Werne, Stadt- und Kreistagsvertreter der SPD und Mitglied im Betriebsrat „Zeche Werne“. Er wurde im Juni 1933 für 3 Monate von der Gestapo in „Schutzhaft“ genommen. Die NSDAP nutzte diese „Schutzhaft“ um politische Gegner zeitweise aus dem Weg zu schaffen. Durch das gescheiterte Attentat auf Hitler im Jahre 1944 wurden erneut politische Gegner verfolgt. Im Juni 1944 wurde Ludwig Bode zu 9 Monaten Haft verurteilt und in das Konzentrationslager Sachsenhausen deportiert und am 16. Januar 1945 in das KZ Bergen-Belsen verlegt. Am 14. Mai 1948 hat das Amtsgericht Werne ihn für Tod erklärt: „Am 29. Januar 1945 wurde Ludwig Bode, […], zuletzt gesehen , […].Nachdem mehr als drei Jahre inzwischen verstrichen sind, ohne dass ein Lebenszeichen von dem Verschollenen eingegangen ist, ist seine Todeserklärung zulässig.“ Sein Todesdatum wird auf den 9. Mai 1945 datiert. In Gedenken an Ludwig Bode wurde am 23.5.2019 ein Stolperstein verlegt.
