Seen here is a photo of the main altar at St. Raphael's Cathedral, Dubuque, Iowa. Contained within the altar is the box containing the remains of Saint Cessianus, a Roman Catholic Saint and Martyr. Bishop Mathias Loras was presented with his remains by Pope Gregory XVI in 1838. Bishop Loras brought the remains with him to the United States, where they were held by the Diocese for many years. In 1986 the remains were installed in the altar.
This photo was taken by me in May of 2003.
