Español: El Subsecretario de Salud Pública, Jaime Burrows, anunció la vacunación contra la influenza para todos los albergados producto del incendio registrado ayer en Valparaíso. La medida fue informada tras una primera visita a las zonas afectadas y se suma a la inmunización contra la meningitis para niños de nueve meses a un año y la inoculación contra el tétano al personal que realiza manejo de residuos y remoción de escombros.

Junto con valorar la respuesta de la red asistencial en las primeras horas de la emergencia, el Subsecretario Burrows señaló que hasta esta mañana el Servicio de Urgencias del Hospital Van Buren había atendido sobre 500 pacientes ambulatorios, principalmente por cuadros respiratorios producto de la inhalación de humo. Reportó además la presencia de 3 pacientes graves ingresados a este centro asistencial, 2 de los cuales ya fueron trasladados a otros establecimientos hospitalarios, en un trabajo coordinado de la red asistencial.

El Subsecretario de Salud Pública, junto a otras autoridades de gobierno, participó en la reunión encabezada por la Presidenta de la República, Michelle Bachelet, y durante el día recorrerá los albergues dispuestos en las escuelas Grecia, República de Alemania, Gaspar Cabrales e Iglesia San Juan Bosco, para brindar apoyo a las personas albergadas.
