Description
Svenska: Görvälns slott 1670-talet i Suecia antiqua et hodierna. Kopparstick av Jean Marot (1619-1679) föreställande Görvälns slott i Järfälla på 1660-talet. Erik Dahlbergh (1625-1703) besökte Görväln både 1661 och 1664 eller 1665. Bilden av Görvälns slott i Sueciaverket är utförd efter det att huvudbyggnaden fanns på plats, även om den inte var färdigställd. Ritningarna till slottsbygget har tillskrivits den kände arkitekten Jean de la Vallé. Huvudbyggnaden uppfördes åren 1659–1661 under ledning av hovingenjören Johan Peter Kirstenius, en kollega med Erik Dahlbergh, och förmodligen med Jean de la Vallée som arkitekt. Den slutliga förlagan till Sueciaverket tecknades av gravören Jean Marot, som överförde bilden till kopparstick. Erik Dahlbergh sammanställde teckningar och ritningar som fanns tillgängliga till en förlaga för gravörens arbete. Huvudbyggnaden är en perspektivritning och flyglarna har lagts in i sina lägen. Flyglarnas fönster är stora i övervåningen och små i bottenvåningen och flyglarnas tak är valmade sadeltak innanför en låg balustrad. Jean Marot fick en slutlig förlaga för kopparsticket och den välkända slutliga gravyren i Sueciaveket (Suecia 1-104; Görvälns slott) visar hur arkitekten tänkt sig huvudbyggnaden. På flera punkter avviker den uppförda byggnaden. Fönstren på andra våningen kröns av triangulära överstycken, men i verkligheten är de gjorda i bågform. Porten hade varken pelare eller mussla, vilka kom senare (sannolikt 1675). Gravyren visar även en terräng som är planare än verkligheten.
