Description
English: Sukhoi Su-15TM jet interceptor displayed at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Manufactured by the Soviet aviation company Sukhoi between 1965 and 1979 (TM variant introduced in 1971), it was part of the inventory of the Soviet Air Force during the Cold War, and inherited afterwards by the Russian Air Force and the Ukrainian Air Force. The preserved specimen shown here is a former Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-15TM. The Ukrainian Air Force retired their Su-15 interceptors in 1996. The aircraft's NATO reporting name is "Flagon".
Slovenčina: Prúdová záchytná stíhačka Suchoj Su-15TM, vystavené v Múzeu letectva v Košiciach, Slovensko. Vyrábaná sovietskou spoločnosťou Suchoj v rokoch 1965-1979 (variant TM bol zavedený v roku 1971), bola súčasťou sovietskych vzdušných síl počas Studenej vojny. Neskôr ju zdedili Ruské vzdušné sily a Ukrajinské vzdušné sily. Tu vystavený zachovaný exemplár je bývalý Suchoj Su-15TM Ukrajinských vzdušných síl. Ukrajinské vzdušné sily svoje záchytné stíhačky Su-15 vyradili zo služby v roku 1996. Kódové označenie NATO pre lietadlo je "Flagon".
