Description
English: View of Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum, an open air cultural history museum with more than 60 buildings in the area surrounding "Sverresborg", the ruins of King Sverre's medieval castle (small fortress), in Trondheim, Norway. Haltdalen Stave Church, buildings from the seaside / coastal area, etc. Distorted panoramic taken on a sunny spring day in April 2019.
Norsk bokmål: Fra Sverresborg Trøndelag Folkemuseum, et kulturhistorisk friluftsmuseum med over 60 bygninger i by- og bygdeavdelinger rundt ruinene av kong Sverre Sigurdssons borg på Byåsen i Trondheim. Bildet viser blant annet et lysthus, Haltdalen stavkirke, ei gangbru over en bekk og Kråkøystua (rødt hus), rorbua «Havsula», et båtnaust og mer i kystavdelinga. Bygget til venstre er Sverresborg Senter ved Breidablikkveien like utenfor søndre gjerde. Fortegna, oppstykka og sammentrengt panoramafoto tatt en solfylt vårdag i april 2019.



Norway

The Norwegian Copyright in Literary, Scientific and Artistic Works Act, in section 31 says that works of art and photographic works may be depicted when they are permanently mounted or located in or near a public place or a publicly accessible passage through some place. However, this does not apply when the work is clearly the main subject and the reproduction is exploited commercially. The same section says buildings may be freely depicted.

Since Commons requires that all images be free for commercial use, buildings are the only copyrighted works in Norway for which the FOP exception applies for Commons.
