Opis vrste

D.t. 15-16 cm. Rasprostranjena je u mediterasnkim delovima Balkana, Maloj Aziji, širem području Kavkaza, delovima Bliskog Istoka i istočne severne Afrike. Selica je. Zimu provodi na južnim obodima Sahare i Arabijskog poluostrva. Naseljava suva staništa sa žbunjem, razređene hrastove i borove šume, maslinjake, voćnjake, oaze u polupustinjama, šumarke uz reke u stepskim predlelima, parkove i vrtove, u ravnici i brdskim predelima. Gnezdi se u žbunju i grmlju. Hrani se insektima i paucima. U Srbiji je malobrojna gnezdarica krajnjeg juga zemlje (dolina reke Pčinje) čija je populacija procenjena na 3-5 gnezdećih parova (Puzović et al 2009).
